Pilot Solutions is inspired by drones situated between romantic ideals of flight and dystopian war devices. The work points at debates around the increase of mechanical devices affiliated to the body and modification strategies that seeks to avoid surveillance technology.
It engages with the less agentic representations of identity in the online sphere specifically looking at the figure of the child—as both a symbolic embodiment of family values and a passive subject within online environments. The work ultimately interrogates how autonomy, privacy, and embodiment are recoded in technologically mediated social landscapes.
